Busan 2025 – 40th World Federation of Master Tailors Congress
12 September 2025Elena Ferrari, artisan and entrepreneur, was born and raised among sketches and fabrics. From a young age, she imagined wedding dresses for her schoolmates and staged fashion shows with her dolls. After graduating as a fashion technician from the Bonomi Mazzolari Institute in Mantua, she began working in a bridal atelier in Villafranca di Verona. There, she remained for over twenty years, overseeing every phase of production: pattern making, cutting, technical fittings, and direct client relations.
In 2019, Ferrari won the national Manichino d’Oro competition, standing out for her creativity and attention to details.
That milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter. In 2022, she opened her own creative studio in Villafranca di Verona, followed shortly by a second location in Brescia. In her ateliers, she offers a bespoke experience that begins with listening to her clients and using digital tools to transform a sketch into a three-dimensional dress on screen—long before needle and thread come into play. A modern vision that remains grounded in the rigor of tradition.
In 2025, Elena Ferrari was invited to join the Ethical, Aesthetic, and Technical Jury of the 5th Arbiter Trophy—an acknowledgment of her authority in today’s sartorial landscape. For Ferrari, tailoring is art, human connection, and culture: an ancient craft that continues to thrive in the present, constantly renewed through creativity, technology, and passion.
